Brian K. O’Connor, Esq. was born in Garden City, KS on September 23, 1956. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College in 1979 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics, and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Western State College of Law in 1983. In June of 1986, he was admitted to practice law in the state of California; in 1988, the US District Court, Southern District of California; and in 1990, the US District Court, Central District of California. Over his career, he has tried approximately 50 jury trials and helped his clients receive over $20 million in damages.
Brian K. O’Connor, Esq. originally started his legal career as a Riverside County Deputy District Attorney. He moved to Santa Barbara in 1987, and between then and 1997, he focused primarily on defending personal injury, product liability, and professional negligence cases. After 1997, he turned his focus to helping individuals who had been injured in personal injury cases.
Outside of work, Brian is an active cyclist and sponsors the Santa Ynez Valley Cycling Club and Team as well as the Santa Barbara Triathlon Club. He is also an amateur athlete, having done several triathlons and marathons.
